An email alias is an alternative email address that allow you to send to one email address but reach a group of people and this email actually is not exist for you to login any manage the setting.

In practice, if you create an email alias with rnd@domain.com and pointed to john@domain.com and smith@domain.com, once you send email to rnd@domain.com, both John and Smith with receive the email.
